1. May Allah water that abode with abundant rain
Throughout time, never ceasing to weep the bereaved and the crescent moon

2. It encompassed lands whose markings have now faded
Yet in people remain forever good in name

3. With it, the garden of companions revived whenever
Tears streamed from eyelids onto chests

4. Upon it, may Allah's peace be as long as foliage thrives green
And fragrant scent wafts from its hills of sweet basil

5. The spirits of people lie there, their domes
Have truly struck glory and pride

6. They protected the command of the white and the brown horses
It is by the likes of them the white and the brown rise above the rest

7. Downpours when they give, lions when they conquer
Their oceans of generosity outpour beyond the sea

8. Among the eminent of the clan of Hamir
Who plunge into the flames of war with blond determination

9. Branches certain that their roots are
Of the tallest trees, and masters of eminence

10. Among them the Imam of virtue, knowledge and piety
Abu Talib al-Harbi of integrity and honor

11. And guardian of mankind, Uthman of light and guidance
And Sultan of mystic knowers in that time

12. Builder of the pillars of Islamic law and piety
And fortifier of the religion of Allah in prohibition and command

13. A jewel enveloped by earthly shell
Oh my sorrow for that fallen star!

14. Oh my craving for that ascent
By which ascended the sun of knowledge and mystery

15. Beaming its light onto the cosmos
Surpassing the luminous sun and full moon

16. May Allah grace Uthman the pious with mercy
Magnificent, hovering above that grave

17. And, my God, bestow prayers whenever a teardrop
Rolls down the cheek in passion and fervor

18. Upon the chosen Mustafa from the best of creations
And his family and companions who uprooted disbelief

19. Such is the greetings sent by Hussein
Borne to him by the renowned wind of victory and triumph
