Like the moon glaring at the muddy stars,

21. At dawn he took them, every last tribe,
Swooping like a falcon on every cluster.

25. The black banners sent them into flight.
Red they became, though they came like lions.

The Lion of Battle, the valiant, the intrepid!

35. Veil their shame with the garb of acceptance,

36. Grant the aid of a victory past or pending,
