1. With your face a country and home bloomed
And the day shone from your serene light
١. بوجهك أَزهَرَت بَلد وَدار
وَأَشرَقَ مِن تبلجك النَهار
2. By God, He has blessed you with clear radiance
So that from your hands the seas overflowed
٢. لعمري قَد براكَ اللَه نوءاً
فَفاضَت مِن أَياديك البِحار
3. You built pillars of glory rising high
With at their peak for the guest a fire
٣. بَنيت مَعالِماً للمَجد يَعلو
بِأَعلى رَأسِها للضَيف نار
4. He sees it even if far away
And beholds it even if the tombs lie between
٤. يُطالعها وَإِن كانَت بَعيداً
وَينظرها وَإِن شَط المَزار
5. Palaces that have no match among palaces
And a home of dew and generosity home
٥. قُصور لَيسَ فيها مِن قُصور
وَدار للنَدى وَالجُود دار
6. Its foundations are on copious generosity
With a wall of your pouring clouds
٦. قَواعدها عَلى كَرم غَزير
لَها سور سَحايبك الغزار
7. And your sublime ambition in protecting it
A wall no weakness in that wall
٧. وَهمتك العَلية في حِماها
جِدار لا وَهى ذاكَ الجِدار
8. And your hand its gate protecting its sanctuary
With an edge to the enemy, poison and fire
٨. وَكفك بابها يَحمي حِماها
بِحَد لِلعِدى سم وَنار
9. You rose above the peers until
You were exalted for yourself in the land of Saad a home
٩. سَمَوت عَلى على الأَقران حَتّى
عَلَت لَكَ في دِيار السبط دار
10. A sky whose cup is white and yellow
So its stars are delicate or freshly plucked
١٠. سَماء جامَها بيض وَصُفر
فَأَنجُمُها لجين أَو نضار
11. Do you know what the inscription in it says?
It says its resident protects the neighbor
١١. أَتَدري ما يَقول النَقش فيها
يَقول بساكِني يحمي الجوار
12. And at its doors a figure calls out
At its threshold protecting the passerby
١٢. وَفي أَبوابِها رسم يُنادي
عَلى أَعتابِها يحمى الذمار
13. And in its balconies a lofty nobility
With it the caravans in the cities traveled
١٣. وَفي شُرفاتها شَرَف رَفيع
بِهِ الرُكبان في الأَمصار ساروا
14. And the dwellings were not made to boast
But rather the weak through them find refuge
١٤. وَما شَدت المَنازل لافتخار
وَلَكن الضَعيف بِها يُجار
15. For you the everlasting and as for
Others it is something transiently borrowed
١٥. لَكَ العليا مُؤصلة وَأَما
لِغَيرك فَهيَ شَيء مُستَعار
16. Through you the people of the world all boasted
As Persia boasted through its Knight Nizar
١٦. بِكَ افتَخَرَت بَنو الدُنيا جَميعاً
كَما اِفتَخَرَت بِفارسِها نِزار
17. Congratulations of happiness every day
With the home, joy and pride
١٧. تهنيك السَعادة كُل يَوم
بِدار وَالمَسَرة وَالفَخار
18. And I did not know you were a full moon of virtue
Congratulations in whose virtues the homelands delighted
١٨. وَما علمت بِأَنك بَدر فَضل
تهنى في فَضائله الدِّيار
19. May God show us in history happy
For your home the stars of the world spin
١٩. أرانا اللَه في التاريخ سَعداً
لِدارك أَنجُم الدُنيا تُدار
