2. And convivial morning drinks,
In the company of a boon companion,

ุจูŠู† ุฑุงุญุงุชู ู†ุฏูŠู…ู

3. And the strains of a delicate voice,
With a delicate, melodious tone,

ูฃ. ูˆุณู…ุงุนูŒ ู…ู† ุฑุฎูŠู…ู ุงู„ุฏู‘ูŽ
ู„ู‘ู ุฐูŠ ุตูˆุชู ุฑุฎูŠู…ู

4. And the bliss of our lasting abode,
Unlike the abode of bliss,

ูค. ูˆู†ุนูŠู…ูŒ ุฏุงุฑูู†ุง ุงู„ู„ุฏู‘ูŽ
ุฉู ู…ู† ุฏุงุฑู ุงู„ู†ุนูŠู…ู

5. And a morn of joy,
That rift a night of worries,

ูฅ. ูˆุตุจุงุญูŒ ู…ู† ุณุฑูˆุฑู
ุดู‚ู‘ูŽ ู„ูŠู„ุงู‹ ู…ู† ู‡ู…ูˆู…ู

6. Are they the daughters of a generous one?
No, they are vinesโ€™ daughters,

ู„ุง ุจูู†ูŽูŠู‘ูŽุงุชู ูƒุฑูˆู…

7. There emerged from them nights of precise astrolabe,
Like the stars,

ูง. ุฃูŽุทู’ู„ูŽุนูŽุชู’ ู…ู†ู‡ุง ู„ูŠุงู„ููŠ ุงู„ู†ู‘ู
ู‚ู’ุณู ุฃูŽู…ุซุงู„ูŽ ุงู„ู†ุฌูˆู…ู

8. And the Pleiades appeared from them,
Adorned with a necklace of threaded pearls,

ุจุญูู„ู‰ ุงู„ุฏู‘ูุฑู‘ู ุงู„ู†ุธู…ู

9. Formed by the mind of a Sublime One,
Formed by the mind of a Wise One,

ุตุงุบูŽู‡ุง ูููƒู’ุฑู ุนูŽู„ููŠู…ู

10. With eloquences by which the reins,
Of Ibn Al-Khatib were controlled,

ุฎูุทุงู…ู ุงุจู’ู†ู ุงู„ุฎูŽุทูŠู…ู

11. And a perfection which was not attained,
By an eyebrow amidst Thamood,

ูกูก. ูˆุชูŽู…ุงู…ูŒ ู„ู… ูŠูŽู†ูŽู„ู’ู‡ู
ุญุงุฌูุจูŒ ุจูŠู† ุชู…ูŠู…ู

12. And wisdoms of a wise man,
Who counseled Luqman the Sage,

ูกูข. ูˆู…ูŽุนุงู†ูŠ ุญููƒูŽู…ู ุฃูŽุฒู’
ุฑูŽุชู’ ุจู„ูู‚ู’ู…ุงู†ูŽ ุงู„ุญูŠูƒู…ู

13. And speech which I became,
Accustomed to like a bosom friend,

ูกูฃ. ูˆูƒู„ุงู…ูŒ ุตูุฑู’ุชู ู…ุฐุฎููˆ
ุทูุจู’ุชูู‡ู ู…ูุซู’ู„ูŽ ุงู„ูƒู„ูŠู…ู

14. From a friend and glorious one,
And a protector and intimate one,

ูกูค. ู…ู† ุฎู„ูŠู„ู ูˆุฌู„ูŠู„ู
ูˆุญูŽู…ููŠู‘ู ูˆุญู…ูŠู…ู

15. O the happy, the flowering, the free one,
In the ignorant mortal world,

ูกูฅ. ูŠ ุงู„ู…ูุญูŽูŠู‘ูŽุง ุงู„ุฒุงู‡ุฑู ุงู„ุบูุฑู‘ูŽ
ุฉ ููŠ ุงู„ุฏู‡ุฑู ุงู„ุจู‡ูŠู…ู

16. And the outstretched hands,
Bearing the burdens of clouds,

ูกูฆ. ูˆุงู„ุฃูŽูŠุงุฏูŠ ุงู„ู…ูุณู’ุชูŽุฎููู‘ูŽุง
ุชู ุจุฃูŽุนุจุงุกู ุงู„ุบูŠูˆู…ู

17. Below it, if truth be told, or,
Cleared are the minds of the learned,

18. Every eye, every lam,
Every ya, every meem,

ูƒู„ ูŠุงุกู ูƒู„ู‘ู ู…ููŠู…ู

19. May Allah send peace upon its height,
From theSolver of the night of darkness,

20. No breeze tilted,
The branch of the straight breeze.
