As the calm of daybreak gently spreads its wings.

3. Like beads adrift in the bosom of the sea,
The leaves whisper secrets in the stirring breeze.

4. When the troops of gloom saw the light approach,
The guardian stars struck their tails in alarm.

5. The dawn arrived and shone its blessing down,
Vanquishing the darkness, driving it away.

As the Zanj flee the tyranny of Arabs,
