1. O star of the living religion of God

In the horizons of sublimity

3. The inheritor of ancestral glory
From an uncle and maternal uncle

4. And the transgressor against the transgressed
With hands that wield deadly weapons

5. My situation is not what I desire
O son of the generous, the worst of states

6. I was inverted on journeys after
My awareness, inverted like the crescent moon

7. And for many sorrows I have complained
To him, so he became disordered

My hopes, but he inclined toward indifference

Have nothing left but principal wealth

10. While he has what the perfumer describes
Of ointments and fragrant oils

11. And the wise man is like the head - if
No illness befell him, nothing left wanting

You dispense meaning and sublimity

13. If I depend on you alone
I will attain the impossible

14. So bestow and grant that
Which you undertake of successive favors
