1. Before listening to the preacher's sermon
Advice that comes from within is far superior

2. So seek the path of justice, do not deviate
From it, and say to yourself "be mindful!"

3. And shield your gaze for as long as you live
For how many desires has an instant ignited in one's heart!

4. O seeker of alchemy, your means are few
Yet your lifestyle is lavish

5. The science of alchemy cannot be sound
Except through the efforts of Imam Al-Arahi the vigilant

6. They give them money when the latter only
Offer words, and what are words worth from the gabbler!

7. In the dreams of the fair-minded, clarity is apparent
And in the works of Ibn Bahr the prolific scholar

8. He brings praise to life while others negligently
Forget him, for who is like the watchful critic!

9. May time always reward good deeds
And abstain from committing sins without being mindful
