1. The time of our separation has arrived
Portraying the lion pouncing on the serpent

2. We donned the cloak of resolve
Surely telling the impossible tale

3. He called us with an invitation, though the mind was oblivious
So it returned with its refinement shining smooth

4. We imagined it a statue of righteousness
Yet it was in its essence perfection

5. We presented it to the masses when
A disease, intractable, showed from our origin

6. And that was the day rays entered the house of Onias
A blaze making song erupt into flames

7. It flutters over the messengers of God openly
Lighting with tongues that were exemplary

8. Boasting through them a noble pride
Shielding them, together with the Eternal Majesty

9. And it divulged among them a guarded secret
Thus the symbol to them was the word

10. So they excelled in eloquence when they donned
A mantle embroidered with sublime virtues

11. Thus they spoke every art
Tongues, enumerating them, the mind falls short

12. One group went right
And one group went left

13. Some met good tidings in the south
And some met good tidings in the north

14. They toured then traversed every land
Neither saddle-beasts nor camels took to flight

15. While you see them in the valleys
You see them climbing up the hills

16. They flung themselves, covered in ashes, into every ruin
Imagining water in the desert, mirages

17. Plunging into the thick dust with fervent resolve
Their traveling through it shielded by swords

18. Warding off harm from all the helpless
Thus they were justice for mysteries

19. How their lanterns shone with their illumination
When before they were darkness, rather misguidance

20. They overcame dangers while composed
Subduing all who entered into combat

21. The armor of piety protects them
From the flies of India and tall poisonous snakes

22. Their trailing robes dyed
And that is a trust removing the impossible

23. The sword of the spirit in their right hand
So they do not fear betrayal from it

24. The banners of victory flutter below them
Returning their enemies to crescent shapes

25. They discarded the world's reign behind them
And led those who resisted with menace

26. They circled then trampled every obstinate tyrant
Marching with the might of his coughing

27. You see them in the east, a sun of success
As they had been in its west, shadows

28. From their knowledge in every club
There are giants who envision perfection

29. Sparks of their speech in prose composition
Add to the necks of its camels beauty

30. Thus their speech on earth was salt
Expelling its corruption and treachery

31. Then where are those living in it in ignorance?
And where are those who in it have gone astray?

32. And where in it are the arrogant kings of Rome
So many the foolish have trod upon it and wandered

33. And how high the Greeks in it rose
In their wisdom, climbing and vaunting

34. And how many noble souls
As if its eloquent speech were arrows

35. So they took them by surprise in panic
Men, horsemen, who do not fear men

36. You see them unleashed while they are lions
The weakest of them turns the wolf into a gazelle

37. So they exhausted every strong orator
Who then turned away complaining of withdrawal

38. And how many dead they revived when
They saw them wearing the cross

39. And how many blind they cured of blindness
Who then saw plains after hills

40. And how many madmen they purified
And increased in beauty, indeed perfection

41. And how many possessed they freed
Adorning their brows with the sign exalted

42. And how many paralyzed, with resolve,
They enabled to move freely

43. And how many mutes they made speak
Who then attained mastery of rhetoric

44. And led the straying into guidance
And when the wall of unbelief inclined

45. And the sun of the Comforter rose
On the horizon of the messengers, tearing through barriers

46. They were like the noble months in number
Or constellations in wisdom and composure

47. Their chief, the Pristine, through whom is perception
The obstinacy of his detractors crushed into collapse

48. And when in the land of Rome he passed
As leader, transitioning there

49. He left behind him an eminent patriarch
Wise, presiding over the world perfectly

50. Thus for him successors followed continuously
To our present day, and will not cease to

51. You see his throne daily
By it, traces make you comprehend majesty

52. From us, peace, as we pray
With obedience to him, right or left
