1. I tasked myself with intense effort, through which
I gained resolute determination, like sparks from flint.

2. It has certainly sharpened my mind, though it deprived me of sleep
Until I saw the ambiguity of the text in explanation.

3. So my tears flowed like heavy rain, harmoniously
For that is fire, and this is an outpouring of rain.

4. And my soul returned with calm thoughts
Like ships lying in their salty sea.

5. My mind became free, pure, and awake
It continues to praise the Lord of praise and glory,

6. Until it saw the metaphysical world gushing forth
Like the radiance of light at dawn’s wellspring.
