1. Keep me away from the deceitful world
And make me detest its transient splendor

2. Deny yourself if you emigrate as a fool
You will find reward adorning the soul with favors

3. If you want monasticism, choose it for yourself
One of the three destinations with purpose is the homeland

4. Yearning for the heavens, or hating evil
Or loving God, this is the greatest purpose

5. So erase sins with a tear that flows sadly
Retreat, intend, then confess openly and secretly

6. And welcome the bliss of God happily
And turn away from the days of separation without examination

7. Be like an infant, rising above every disgrace
Not all beauty delights the eye with beauty

8. If you are experimenting, then asceticism is an experiment
Or if you are practicing, the path has not disgraced

9. Whoever loves a Lord he sees growing eternally
In his devotion, and without love he falters

10. To quench your thirst, O monk, its heat has increased
Into fire, yearning and desire not yet buried
