1. Love of God and love of the world are opposed
Whoever tries to combine them has gone astray

You have hated your Master, so reverse your traits

Other than Him, and the self, and the body, and honor

4. He strives to fulfill God's command with reverence
Responding to the Master who called him, not hesitating

5. Do not lend your ear to the accursed Satan
He has hidden cunning that leads one astray

6. The secret of the journey of a devout and steadfast servant
Is always towards the Cross, so be clothed in patience

7. Woe to him who was saved from the whirlpool of his world
Only to drown in the harbor, what a pity!

8. Renounce your worldly life and sever all attachments
Lower your pride and follow the noble Master

9. Beware the lurking places of damned Satan
And take the praise of Mary as a shield against harm

10. Make it like arrows of sanctification, precise
And target asceticism through it to reach the goal
