1. With reason a youth may contain revival
Not with fundamentals that make them seem alive

2. The pinnacle of knowledge is wisdom through which one is exalted
Above its froth that makes it noise

3. So the results of perceptions are penetrating insight
And thought is ignited displaying viewpoints

4. For if in speech to a stubborn fool
Obstinate, yet engage him in debate and yield

5. And fold your wing humbly seeking
The stubborn will miss what he desires

6. So the virtues of character are the mark of a youth
And through them he attains affection and brotherhood

7. Patience in purposes is wisdom
And its opposite has ruined things

8. The garment of chastity hides what is underneath
And humility uplifts the lowly

9. To merit is attributed every honorable tear
And justice spreads its wings over enemies

10. And forbearance, hearts serve it obediently
How many a hand for you among us is white

11. The passing of days goes by as though
The passing clouds inform us of news

12. Maladies originate from their movements
And become at times a disease, and at times a cure

13. Life is corrupted suddenly by disasters
Inflicting it and increasing its woes

14. Whoever rejects blessings is deprived of them, and whoever
Is gracious keeps the right path clear of error

15. Stinginess is laden with sorrow and harshness
While generosity contains bliss and supplication

16. O you the protector, exemplar of his people
Do not weary of guarding the innocent

17. For ignorance is grasped by the wise since he
Was once ignorant, erring

18. Sincerity is the best virtue there can be
While falsehood is the ugliest garb

19. Be like the otter in keeping a promise when
Survival on promises is faithfulness

20. Whoever experiences the world and traverses its ruggedness
Knows its richness and avoids wretchedness

21. And knowledge is unknown to the fool since he
Has never known knowledge or the learned

22. A person is both mistaken and correct
If his claim misguides him

23. Like the strong poet who is guided at times
And at times rides misguidance

24. This is what leaves the avaricious successful
So be keen to reap good and piety

25. Clinging to the chastity of Mary
Treasure of piety and refuge from he who is miserable

26. She stood an intermediary between Adam and her Son
Blessed is the guide who reconciles enemies

27. Whoever came to her seeking salvation from foes
One day when it was time and her secret was revealed
