1. Rejoice, rejoice, the distant one has brought you near
Since the lightning flashed from the direction of a maiden

2. So the atmosphere is diffused with light, each part shining
And the earth has smiled, revealing the radiance of a full moon

3. The secret bird trilled with joy
When it saw the branches dance a supple dance

4. And the wind writes with its soft fingers on the water
A line it mimics between pearls and water

5. Since the sun of guidance rose in the constellation of its ascent
A prophecy that sanctified the wombs of Eve

6. And God shone forth in the mortal nature of Adam
When Gabriel, the Sublime, brought good tidings

7. It was as if His mortal nature, created, was astonished
A door to His divinity in the folds of concealment

8. Welcome O wearer of mortal nature, descending
As if He were a beam in the wings of obscurity

9. You have drawn near while the darkness of disbelief makes us stumble
And the mind gropes confusedly in it

10. While ignorance dominates the mind triumphantly
The vanguards of Gabriel appeared to the maiden

11. Gabriel, why are you diving as the sun has risen
From within you, a sun I see as the secret of my Master

12. I see the Sublime One in the regions of the Sublime
While the Sublime One was on the folds of brilliance

13. O land of Nazareth, you have become an ally
When formerly you were of harsh character

14. Gabriel replied, and mysteries supported him
“I am a messenger with favor and grace

15. To a virgin I give good news, and she is described
To me as Mary the virgin, so listen to my clear good tidings

16. Peace be upon you O sanctity in whom
An exalted Lord settled with names and attributes

17. The Lord is with you and in your womb I see Him
A child, an embryo who appeared in the lineage of Adam

18. Peace be upon you O treasure through whom they found
The water of life for the dead and the living

19. From you comes a God whom we worship
And who saves the lost from confusion and temptation

20. That One whom Ezekiel saw His likeness
From above a carriage between lights

21. Flashes burst forth from it, followed by meteors
From them the angels in fear and terror

22. We see Him housed in it just as ships
Cast their anchors in a harbor of blessings

23. You are the protected garden in which its planter
Flows a spring of innocence for sickness

24. You are the chosen temple from antiquity
Upon which feet with evils never climbed

25. You are the holiness of the holy, its sanctity
From which we obtain the fortunes of the elect

26. And from you, O Virgin, God comes incarnated
While the seal remains with veneration and awe

27. In order to save Eve from her temptation
By His path of truth He erases the verses of darkness

28. So every utterance that contends with it is mute
And every eye that has scorned Him is blind

29. And every ear that denies it is deaf
As if filled with affliction

30. O Bearer of His Throne whom the angels revere in awe
Behold, your dwelling is now in the womb of a maiden

31. Blessed are you, O Virgin Mary, for there came to you
Bearers of joys and good tidings

32. Truly, the narrators declared about you that
From her like, the wombs of Eve were sterile

33. I now see the universe joyous after despair
With proofs of affection supporting it

34. So disbelief is at war, falsehood is distressed
While truth is elated and awe is in wonder

35. And creation is startled, the horizon delighted
And speech follows a path flowing like a stream

36. The verses of its surah have erased iniquity
With the recitations of the rise of pardon and pleasure

37. And heresies, faith rebuts
As if they were disgrace to the seer and the seen

38. Eyes turn away from it disappointed
As if it was etched on a tablet of disgrace

39. The spring of truth poured upon it so it collapsed
Since it rose to destroy with it all abomination

40. Good tidings to the children of Adam, for they saw a king
In the garb of a servant without pride or conceit

41. Rejoice O Adam, imprisoned in a tunnel
Your pain has departed from adversity and evils

42. Your request is fulfilled so shed what is upon you for you
Have been saved from the stumbling of an unsteady, unwise one

43. Therefore, when He called me in creation to serve Him
I answered Him, for my tongue is not hesitant

44. To you, O Virgin, a maiden in her prime
Of a status never marked by deviation

45. She carries composed, like a pearl, her speech
Its eloquence transcending the jars of the luminous
