1. Beware encountering misfortunes,
For their occurrence is one of the afflictions.

2. You have shown ignorance beyond ignorance,
And your life is complete with sins.

3. God's decree nullifies what our nature decreed
Regarding these issues.

4. If you are cautious, you will find a happy day
That shows you the end of life is death.

5. So your day has become the last of every day,
So beware, O soul, of its sorrows.

6. And keep secret what you intend,
For God discloses intentions.

7. And do not incline towards the deeds of people
Who forgot what fantasies have concealed.

8. If a man flatters you with praise,
Say, "How many secrets lie in corners!"

9. And if you desire God's commandments, you will be praised,
His command surpasses all commandments.

10. And do not rejoice in the good you have earned
With their evil hands, the perpetrators of sins.

11. For if you suspect error, time will make you happy,
A terrible time in which complaints are useless.

12. And if you give yourself, body and soul, to the Most High
You will receive from His generosity the finest gifts.

13. And if you are crucified for His sake willingly and lovingly
You will inherit with Him the lasting inheritance.

14. So live for God, you will live happily through Him,
Otherwise death will seize you.

15. And ride on His noble steed
That surpasses other steeds.

16. It is patience, which if one travels through
The virtues and excellences travel through it.

17. Like a sultan who attained kingship
Upon whom his virtues bestow favors.

18. His Master presents him with a cup
Whose drink surpasses rainwater.

19. And before him flags of righteousness flutter
And before him are deeds of guidance.

20. So say, your praise reveals perfection,
“I am the son of glory and the rising of splendors.”

21. And I have only been preferred over people
Because I am not counted among the flock.

22. And how many treasures I have hidden in myself
The deceptions have made me needless.

23. The Master will not be unaware of the hidden things
For God knows the unseen.

24. And find happiness in the protection of chastity
When you call upon Mary, she is the best of maidens,

25. She has preference in the kingdom
As she has excellences in the earthly world.

26. She inherits the heavens and earth in full
To her belongs sovereignty and judiciary.

27. She is honored by mankind and jinn
And through her grace, sins are forgiven.

28. To her from us is the peace of God since
Gabriel brought her guidance.
