1. I say to one conceited who came to me arguing
To make me leave my faith with a refuted opinion
١. أقول لمغرورٍ أتاني مبرهناً
على ترك نُسكي ذا برأيٍ مفنَّدِ
2. So do not increase the argument, I am an imitator
And the imitator does not waste argument
٢. فلا تكثرِ البرهانَ إنّي مقلِّدٌ
وما أضيعَ البرهانَ عند المقلِّدِ
