1. The slanderer has gone from us
So we reconciled and relaxed

2. He goes complaining about us and we
Complain about what he complains of us

3. It was not enough for him
That we were lowered and disgraced

4. God has ruled in this matter
So we listened and obeyed

5. If only he would forget so we forget
His actions in word and meaning

6. And we would act with dignity
Towards all he does with us

7. We thank God that we
Have gotten away from his protection

8. We do not ask about him
Nor should he ask about us
