1. Remember death, prepare for it
Day after day, and repent if you are ignorant of it

2. Whoever fears death will see asceticism and cutting off desires
So beware of this by that, do not neglect it

3. Not everyone who wishes for death praised
No, and not everyone who loves it comprehends it

4. But whoever sees it complete with God's spirit
With grace and love towards God carries him

5. Remembering death extinguishes my passions so when
I extinguish them, I come to death and ask it

6. What are you, tell me, it answered listen to understand me
Death is a door and the house of eternity its entrance

7. Remember your consequences clearly so you when
You remember them, you say my sins I will not do them

8. Die willingly, promising death committed
Blessed is the committed, for death gives him respite
