1. I quenched your thirst with a cup, you remained joyful
As if the secret in it possessed the mind

2. My covenant with your love is sincere, no one shares it
And today people and cattle have seen it

3. With beauty I yearn, with truth I achieve
With success I hope, and in it safety resides

4. Since I sensed its first ray, I realized its dawn
You see its dawn has equalled the shining moons

5. A sacred land with holiness it breathes
If its light had shone at night, it would not have been veiled

6. The light has chained the horizons with it
And it is the nature of the sun to neglect the lamp

7. And the people in it are passionate in fervor
So one did not take the path and the other took it

8. The angels of God are groups that have filled
Armies with hands and left no narrow place for us

9. Among them is Basheer to Paradise set out
Jibreel always ascending, never descending

10. I see people sad for the loss
And I see angels praying, so elated

11. So people are troubled like fire ablaze
The angels of God were not burned by the blaze

12. I said by God, the matter is different
And the people confused with contradiction have blended

13. So it was said to me, with perplexed argument
Torn, confused, with sorrow loudly wailing

14. Has not God this morning moved
To the Heavens? And this light has shone brilliantly

15. Rise with us now to see Her throne and the
Crown, ascent, stairs and grade

16. Rise with us now to see Her Son happy in Her
And see Him praising Her ardently

17. The shoulders of the heavenly hosts softened
And they willingly accepted Her noble reign

18. She ruled the Earth and the Most High adorned Her
The Virgin led and saved Adam from dispute

19. She ruled when the Spirit crowned Her
A Queen ruling souls and minds

20. For Her are the Heavens, She judges in Her canopy
Fearing no objection between Her commands

21. And the Pure Arbiter acts in Her dealings
Whoever sincerely follows their faith will succeed

22. And the Earth is ruled through Her intercession
Whoever comes to Her, She removes distress from their heart

23. O Throne of the Lord of the Skies, since You came humbly
Take now a sublime throne and expand

24. The angels bow submissively to Him
To whom all sleepers have appealed

25. So the messengers, the righteous prophets, and martyrs
Without permission, will not come near Your abode

26. You have abandoned the lands of the world, desiring
The kingdom of bliss, whose light shone brilliantly

27. And the inhabitants of the heavens and the horizons stared
At the burial place of Your body, not daring to enclose it

28. The prophets came to look at Her and gained
Through Her, liberation and relief

29. And the messengers came seeking their mother
From every deep pit filled with passion

30. The processions of the pure martyrs came
To marry the Virgin who traveled covered in ice

31. And the monks came wearing
A garment that appears colored, not bleak

32. They circumambulated Her with melodies
Riding and walking, containing ecstasy and zeal

33. Until they ended at the tomb and they had
Hot tears and a heart ripe with sorrow

34. And they closed the grave over a body untouched by decay
Or corruption, but that ascended to the Heavens

35. The grave was quenched with light but remained obscure
Completely, but it is a light that dismissed obscurity

36. The grave was quenched with light that stayed radiant
From it we see the night folded and covered

37. As if when the night sensed its lightning
A thief saw dawn and turned away startled

38. Or as if dawn fell in love with a moon
It sought connection but crept away fearing the watcher

39. The light appeared and its tears flowed
Like stars while it cried and lamented

40. My Master, enable me to visit Him
And my words, repenting, O my onlooker, delight

41. Then cast sin into the sea of His mercy
With my tears saying, O sinner, be relieved

42. And forgive my sins through Mary when I say to Her
While my eye sheds blood mixed with tears:

43. I hoped in You though my sins are grave
Blessed is one who hopes in You besides people

44. I wove praise of You, You are its climax
Without You, the mind could not have woven
