13. Their worries intoxicated me when they turned away,
As if I drank a cup of pure wine.

14. Why this passion for one who spurned me,
Abandoned and left me and cleared my way?

15. I do not heed one who avoided and turned away,
And called for separation and division.

16. The best praise of the best of all creations,

17. God endowed him with illumination and mercy,
Then the Quran and the truth.

18. And God protected him from every
Arrogant transgressor, secured and guided.

19. He is my consolation and my master, my refuge,
And my intercessor from the heat of the blaze.

20. He defeated disbelief with prophecy and victory,
And with might he humbled the sinful.

21. And from his light every path was illuminated,
Like suns or like lightning.

22. He is the cave of the righteous on a day of punishment,
A profound day when they will come from every deep valley.

23. In him God forgives my sins,
And is merciful to me in ease or hardship.
