1. A lightning flashed from the right of Al-Jar'a'
Bringing abundant rain of continuous clouds

2. It watered the meadows of Zaroud and Ealaj
So the two farms became gentle rainwater

3. My covenant with it, while its people gathered in it
Like a singing garden, of its inhabitants

4. It became empty after its inhabitants, and its heart
Does not taste sweet to it from Al-Burha'

5. The wind blew its valleys of affliction
Of shaking or rustling and comfort

6. They crooked its square so that my heart may recover
With its soil from diseases

7. Do not blame me if I cried for Sabbabah
By its ruins if you are my peers

8. So crying may provoke it and maybe
It will put out the flame of passion from my entrails

9. I am the love-sick youth so in love
It is in gloom, crying and my remedy

10. How to be saved from love while I have not
Recovered yet from agony and crying

11. Oh my blamer, leave me and my blame, I am
Among the captives of love and affliction

12. If you knew what I suffered from the pain of love
You would excuse me and name me in my recovery

13. Or you would leave whom I love blamed and not stop
Hesitating in severity and comfort

14. Quenching the days of the boy from where the beloved
Did not avoid for fear of the elders

15. How to flirt while youth has passed
And old age has come with frailty and tiredness

16. So deny your age that it passes and you have not
Repented, guided by the one of guidance with praise

17. And reject all worries away from you, and be serious in
Repentance, submission, and night prayer

18. And cut off the hem of every noisy rag
With a stretched, dyed cloak

19. And seek Abu Al-Arab bin Sultan, who
Spread goodness in the world with generosity

20. He is the hoped and the resort in distress
He keeps rising in glory and splendor

21. The people of generosity, eloquence and brilliance
And the father of generosity, who mixed the generous people

22. Gentle to all people, an ascetic devout
But he is like a lion in courage

23. A rain that rains his water on the oppressed
And his gifts flow upon the miserable

24. He knew politics since he was born so he is as if
He inherited wisdom from the wise men

25. So he became unique in his time, singular
With the skill of scholars and eloquents

26. Oh son of the just Imam, Sultan of the Arabs
Master of the lords and eminent Arabs

27. I hoped that you would fill my deficiency
And my assumption does not disappoint my hope

28. And I hopefully hope that I will be fortunate, and I
Hoped from you that you respond to my call

29. Beware leaving time afflict me
With its afflictions, hardship and distress

30. Or disturb what cleared of my drink
With its turns, or demolish my building

31. So ward off the harm of disasters and stop them
From biting with it my limbs

32. And be generous with what you possessed, for it
Is vanishing, and your good reputation remains in you

33. And have mercy, be generous until people say this one
Enriched the world with his extreme generosity

34. My praise of you, I hope it will lead to goodness tomorrow
Or make me reside in the house of eternity

35. Take it as a gift that no one of the eloquent and poets
Utters the like of it

36. I purified it from any other magnificent possession
As you are its peer

37. So listen to it, an Arabic one, as if it is
From its beauty like the beautiful gazelle

38. No defect in its verses unless
When recited, it blackens the faces of enemies
