A neck graceful as the neck of a gazelle, delight of the onlooker

11. A bosom in which rests a bubble of ivory
Yet acts with the zeal of close kin when roused

12. A delicate supple waist weaker than my thinness
And a bottom the size of a sand dune, filling the robes

13. Eyes white like pearls glimpsed through cover
Looking upon creation with stealing glances

14. A life that is death and death to the lover
And a chronic pain to the distant one, yet comfort to the soul

15. Leave her be, and distract your heart with praise of one
Who lends an ear to the eminent and commoner alike

20. His speech grants wisdom to men
While the radiance of his face is like the rising sun

21. Visiting him illuminates hearts of their rust
And the sight of his smile clears minds of their sorrows

22. He granted refuge with his generosity as
He destroyed the enemy with spear and cannons

23. When he prays, the prowess of the darkest of nights
And when he gives, the abundance of the deepest seas

24. Stern towards enemies but his way is
When the offender seeks refuge, to grant pardon

25. Of pure Arab stock from the gardens of Dubai
That rose to the heights of the generous elements

26. For you are the youth, son of youth, father of youth
Whose mention echoes from the pulpits

27. You have attained glory, honor, wisdom, and reverence
And the bestowal of gifts from magnificent ancestors

28. You have blanketed all people with justice and mercy
So every righteous and corrupt soul bows before you

29. And those who rejected your Lord became
Admitters to your goodness, no longer unbelievers

30. And I have surveyed all of mankind
Yet found none but thankful admirers

31. So O son of the generous forefathers, show kindness
To one whose sincere devotion visits you

32. I have clothed you in the finest praise
With which I have wandered until I said - can there be more boasting?

33. Increasing upon the nights, renewing
Unfaded by the passage of changing time

34. Verses of poetry surpassing in their composition

35. They come to you gently like brides adorned
With necklaces of pearls in jewel settings

36. When recited aloud in the gathering
They seek out the hidden secrets of consciences

37. If only the ancients of our people could hear them
They would lose both eyes and insight
