1. You were promised victory, and victory is destined for you
Whatever you attempt will be decreed by fate

2. You marched towards the enemy, a daring and impetuous warrior
With proud noses, adorned with arrogance

3. Among them are chiefs from the tribe of Ya'rub whose faces
Shine like full moons blossoming

4. Their vain prancing on the horses' backs make them seem
Like fierce lions charging into battle to conquer

5. Throwing themselves into danger while the lions are perplexed
Amidst the perils of war as the spears clash

6. You were blessed by a just king and wise rule
You have always prided yourself on your kingdoms

7. You have no need for any kingdom, while every soul alive
Depends on you throughout time

8. None can equal you, though they boast great power
How can anyone equal you, though their power be great?

9. You surpassed the desert in justice and moral conduct
While all other creations today are worthless

10. Why do I see a group gone astray, who have beside them
Save you, every mighty one is worthless?

11. They thrust their spears into their sides harmlessly
As every blow fails and is broken

12. The war rages and the swords shine
As if they are sparkling stars smiling with joy

13. God is great! Justice prevails
And injustice is erased as truth triumphs

14. The fire of the unjust and the oppressors is extinguished
While the light of the righteous and the faithful glows

15. The state of justice remains victorious
While the state of ignorance is defeated, with no victory

16. With the dawn of Ya'rub their chief our master
That imam, the protector, the firm of remembrance

17. The wise, the praised of character, protector of the innocent
The pure, in him no blemish

18. If he marches one day against the enemies in rage
With his sharp sword none will remain or escape

19. They secretly plotted and schemed treachery
So their destruction came from what they plotted

20. They thought to profit but their roots were uprooted
How can one profit when victory has betrayed him?

21. Their bodies, if only they could speak, would say
"O you who see, take heed and learn!"

22. Woe to them! Their efforts failed, though they acted not with good, and still they lost
If only they had minds to understand

23. To reflect on the strokes of fate and remember
But they rejected the signs of their Lord

24. If they do not repent, their refuge will be Hellfire
Whoever defies and disobeys the Merciful

25. Signs and warnings will not benefit him
These ones defied in their quest and transgressed

26. Some urging others on in their conspiracy
If they were just they would have obeyed Allah and complied

27. With the imam's command and done as ordered
But they conspired to break the pact and falsely claimed

28. To oppose what they were commanded and deterred from
In truth they are beasts, with no intellect

29. Though you imagine they are mortals
Blind and deaf they forgot the favours of their master

30. Of Ya'rub, the sultan's line, forgetting to recall
They are his servants who betrayed him and so were defeated

31. It would not harm them to have waited patiently
They betrayed, so disbelief in His blessings repaid them

32. A twofold punishment, and loss they reaped
Whether you distance them from our abodes, they will return

33. To hypocrisy, and if you bring them near, they will betray
Deceived by your noble morals

34. And kindness, your gifts pour upon them
They know not that you are the king to whom

35. The kings of the world bow, the nomads and the settled alike
That you are the executioner, the slaughterer, empowered

36. Against enemies, while none can overpower you
If they had known, no defiance would have appeared

37. No evil would have surrounded them or disgrace
They were wary of your deeds against them

38. In punishment, but their caution did not benefit them
You scattered them, breaking their pact

39. For the evil they committed, their sons abandoned them
Some now suffer endless torment

40. Others wear shackles too strong to break
Others lie confined in narrow pits

41. With scorpions, worms and filth as company
Others lie defeated, their heads in the sun

42. Others in deserted places, their graves unknown
All praise to Allah! We are safe while no

43. Harm can reach us from people who disbelieve
O people! If you possess sight and none

44. Can reason save those with vision
Reflect and recall the favours of your master

45. The generous, valiant, fierce lion
Whoever of you commits a sin, He forgives

46. Every sin but idolatry is pardoned
The imam for you all is a fortress and refuge

47. From enemies, so thank Him for the bounties and obey!
If you thank Him, you will prosper in this world and the next

48. For He is victorious over the ungrateful
Do not say you have no need of His gifts

49. Every soul depends on His generosity
He knows neither substitutes nor excuses

50. If a beggar comes he makes no apologies
Awake, if the afflicted seek his court

51. He enriches them with gifts streaming from him
If he counts the days of his generosity no day

52. Can match it - in liberality, the sea and the rain are stingy!
If you see a glimpse of his inspiring generosity

53. The sun and moon curl up in shame
If all creation were weighed together

54. His victories would weigh heaviest on the scale
O king we hope for, we have a need

55. We hope for and await
Whenever I stretch out my hand seeking aid

56. Your palm rains generosity upon me
How can I deny blessings which drench me

57. From childhood to old age?
If my sight, hearing and sons all

58. Opposed you, I would take them as enemies and shun them
By God, if my soul harboured any defiance

59. I would reject it like one who is buried
To you belong the kingdoms and heights, perfected

60. While the enemies have dust, stone and pebbles
Live delighted and joyful in your palace

61. In Yabreen, with a river flowing beneath
A wondrous palace pleasing all who see it

62. Grief and anxiety disappear at the sight
In it is joy, every fruit

63. Palms, pomegranates and trees surround it
What no eye has seen or thoughts occurred

64. To imaginations, ideas or ponderings
As if it is the Garden of Paradise, a dwelling

65. Wherein are fruits, bounties and joys
Around it, a meadow, verdant, spacious

66. Wherein are fragrances, trees and fruits
So beautiful, so sublime its shining bliss

67. When you look to it, sights fall short
It delights you with eternal life without end

68. Abiding there, immortal, your life is long
While the hostile, envious, grieving one is distraught

69. His lot is sorrow and sleeplessness
You ascend to the highest rank passing

70. The brightest Capella or Safar
You are the summit of glories, O Caliph of whom

71. Quranic verses and chapters tell
He is the Prophet, the Pleased, the one sent from Mudhar

72. Not to mention his ancestor Adnan or Mudhar
I circulated your praises east and west as long as

73. The sun rose and the moon shone in night's wing
You are existence, this world and its joy

74. Without you, there would be neither world nor mankind
