1. We congratulate you on the holidays, for you are their feast
And the initiator of the peaks of glory and its renewer

2. You are an ocean of kindness and a spring
That flows gently, but for the wicked you are stern

3. You have reformed a blessed nation
So it lives in prosperity and its poetry flourishes

4. None has turned away from your teachings
Except the wretched, while the fortunate cling to your loftiness

5. Had you not been the exalted ruler
The haughty kings would not have bowed down

6. The masses have found in you kindness
For with humanity you lure them in

7. You have upheld God's religion until
Through your justice, both Arab and non-Arab are at peace

8. Say to those who hastily seek glory:
It takes wisdom to attain such height

9. You are from a noble Arabic lineage
Yemeni no doubt, and its pillar

10. Yet this is the best of nations
And you, son of past leaders, are its praise

11. If the envious deny some of my words
The white nights and their darkness will testify for me

12. O you, whom the angels humbly obey
And the free and enslaved submit to

13. He who defended the true religion with his sword
And through him the world bloomed and its twigs turned green

14. Whose wealth, through his generosity, never ceases
To destroy his enemies like scorching flames

15. O descendant of Sultan bin Sayf bin Malik
You are the brother of the lofty and sublime

16. A sincere advisor has brought you the first-fruits of ideas
Whose poetry surpasses the lilt of evening songs

17. I have composed them into verses from my arsenal
Into beautiful odes that delight the ears

18. How many precious gems I have for you
That I compile into verse, and you make sublime

19. For you I have a vast and tall army
Far-reaching like my hopes, boundless like my poems

20. When I desire to praise you, inspiration overflows
Like an abundant sea whose number cannot be counted
