The pure, generous, honored for ages

11. The courageous, content, chosen Al-Ya'arubi Ash-Shammari
And the religious, faithful, and Muslim

12. The valiant, just, hidden, glorious
Fine, dignified, eminent, exalted

13. The rulers fall short before him in awe
And see without escape or daring

14. And wish to sip his slipper and his rug
Thus remaining standing in daring

15. A king who clothes whoever he wants with his sword
And strips him of all sharp swords

16. If he was satisfied with the mind in the tumult of war
It would suffice him from killing with cold steel

17. The Lord of generosity, eloquence, logic
And good, help, and orphans

18. Without him, no man would know the path of glory
And stabbing the ignorant and striking resolutely

19. If looting befell his money
Or killing happened to bodies

20. If you come to him naked he will not show you
He gives you shyly without words

21. If you said he is like the endless sea in his generosity
Or you said like the clouds' rain

22. It is inconceivable that the son of Saif be equaled to mankind
Or that the noble of nobles match him

23. He is the first, he is the last, in his glory
He is perfect in grace and gifts

24. He is the Kaaba of lords, unique is his wealth
With no equal in eras

25. O reviver of bounty, abundant with his money
Rather destroyer of enemies and executions

26. O you who excelled in courage and inspiration
O you who abolished idol worship

27. O you, if chaos intensified and corruption spread
Meets armies with swords that cut and stab

28. I called upon you so answer my call
O epitome of reverence and esteem

29. Rain upon me clouds of silver
From the bats of seas roaring waves

30. I swore you never turned away a destitute disappointed
And return in confusion every deluded one

31. You listen to delegations attentively
And deafen them from obeying blamers

32. Of the people who ruled the land altogether
You are the praised and refuge of every praised one

33. I have fallen short, for you have exceeded the ultimate
In generosity, valor, and honor

34. I have scattered upon you a necklace of pearls
Adorned with every jewel and grace

35. Take them acquitted of fraud and importunity
For they came to the best imam

36. And narrated smoothly the duty of Al-Buhturi
And Ibn Al-Husayn the brilliant in judgments

37. Both its meaning and the beauty of its composition
Is poetry of meaning, Abu Tammam

38. So let this age be disgraced that you are eternal
O Kaaba of commanders and rulers

39. Upon you is the eternity of this life, the mercy of our Lord
And upon you a thousand greetings and peace
