1. Listen and obey the Imam
The victorious Arab leader

2. Sword of Sultan bin Seif
Of glorious deeds and power

3. He is the Imam son of Imam
The victorious protector's son

4. And son of Al-Jihjahjah who
Faces like shining gems

5. People of virtues, means
Messages, conducts and moons

6. Of feasts, benefits and gems
The noble chiefs with spears bared

7. This Imam, leader of justice
Famed for his glorious feats

8. Not imposing his own view
Wise, insightful and patient

9. Consulting those present
When making a decision

10. Spreading God's justice on earth
Openly and generously

11. His fairness covered the land
Like sunshine and coercion

12. How much did he pardon those
Who sinned immensely and forgive

13. O you, man, be cautious
And listen to advice most wise

14. I advise you not to disobey
Our master the most righteous

15. Let those with reason cry out
My advice for them to learn

16. And count disobeying the good Imam
Amongst the greatest sins

17. That is Sultan bin Seif's son
Disobeying him is blasphemy

18. He who disobeys the Imam
Has done something abhorred

19. Misguided by his worldly life
Deceived by what is false

20. Let the reasonable reflect
On my advice and look

21. Be wise, judicious
Prudent and thoughtful

22. Reason deters its people
Madmen are in danger

23. This Imam warns you
Of a painful punishment

24. So have hope in him and listen
To all his bans and orders

25. He warns you so heeding suffices
Warnings need not be repeated

26. Did you not see them gather
From valleys and settlements

27. All assembled in Zawya
Each awaiting and hoping

28. In a distressing standstill
Lesson for the hesitant

29. Bewildered, no liability
Until it was said, no sin or blame

30. You see them gathered
Like scattered locusts

31. Bowing down to the King
Master, hero, most righteous

32. Whispering as if competing
To the most honored position

33. The middle says: when
Will our distress be relieved

34. Often calling unto their Lord
With night and dawn prayers

35. As if it's Judgement Day
No escape or deliverance

36. Each sees no survival
Awaiting news in trepidation

37. They will not defend each other
If the matter is difficult

38. Do not blame him for gathering
Creatures and awaiting

39. O wise ones, do not disobey
What he has commanded

40. And sincerely advise
In what he has predestined

41. Men's manners have changed
And morals were commanded

42. Their colors have mixed
The pure muddled

43. Oppressors' injustice spread
Openly on the innocent

44. The Imam saved the people
With the Almighty's help

45. Saving them from distress
Protecting them from all evil

46. Oman was lost without him
God's justice spread on earth

47. He's the drawn sword
The valiant hero

48. Like a meteor appearing
Or spreading wildfire

49. Who can escape when he rises
Brandishing his sharp blade

50. Or fault the just Sultan's rule
Except the foolish of humanity

51. So open your eyes, my lad
Leave folly and reflect

52. Soon you will see them
In narrow miserable distress

53. Let me prolong my praises
Apologizing is appropriate

54. Pure poetry flowers
With pearls and gems

55. Praising the Imam intercedes
On a day from which there is no escape

56. The Prophet said: "Learn
Virtuous eloquent poetry"

57. For within poetry is wisdom
And eloquence for the wise

58. Last O leader of Muslims
Successful, with long life

59. As long as lightning flashes
Or clouds rumble and rain pours

60. Or a longing one yearns
For homelands after long travel

61. Or the morning breeze blows
On the supple bough at dawn

62. Or a bird cries out at dusk
From the branches of a tree

63. Or the full moon appears at night
Or dawn breaks and emerges

64. This is from a servant who
With his praises aspires to pride

65. As long as lightning flashes at night
Or a bird cries out on a tree
