2. And every person of religion and intellect
Became afflicted with sadness and sorrow

3. And every person of knowledge and forbearance grew dim
And every beloved, radiant one was saddened

With the death of the righteous, dutiful scholar

5. The foundations were nearly shaken
From their places, and every living being was stricken

6. The earth nearly quaked violently
And the moon nearly eclipsed, with the stars scattering

The blessed, prosperous Al-Zamil

8. With the death of the ransomed scholar
The honorable, learned trustee

The pure-hearted pious one passed away

11. A thousand and three hundred years had passed
From the gone by ages

12. So it is no wonder if my eyelids
Shed blood after losing the pious one

13. Nor is it shameful if we die of sorrow
For the immaculate, chosen one

14. O you who were dear in the wilderness
With a good and luxurious life

15. You were honored, O you of sublime traits
Among the people, with ancient knowledge

ุจุนูŠุดู ุทูŠุจู ุฑุบุฏ ู‡ู†ูู‰ู‘

16. You were noble, O you of lofty qualities
Among the people, with splendid light

ู…ุน ุงู„ุฃู‚ูˆุงู…ู ุจุงู„ุนู„ู… ุงู„ุณู†ูู‰ู‘

17. Yet now your virtuous self lies buried
In a remote, dark, and hidden grave

18. Your radiant image has vanished from us
And none can be seen but your memory remains

May your Lord's prayers be upon you, O pious one

20. Your tragedy has indeed afflicted all the wilderness
High and low alike

21. And orphaned the near and far
Commoners and elites alike

ุฌู…ูŠุนุงู‹ ู…ูู† ุดุฑูŠูู ุฃูˆ ุฏู†ูู‰ู‘

22. You saddened all people, citizens and subjects
With your death, young and old

23. You bequeathed grief to all creation
With the death of the weak and the wealthy

ุจู…ูˆุชูƒ ู…ู† ูƒุจูŠุฑู ุฃูˆ ุตูŽุจููŠู‘

24. You made all people drink cups of sorrow
With your death, eloquent and mute alike

ุจู…ูˆุช ู…ู† ู†ู‚ูŠุฑู ุฃูˆ ุบู†ููŠู‘

25. You possessed honor and possessed knowledge
And enlightened both worlds with your excellent conduct

26. You grasped knowledge along with insight and forbearance
And an astute, pure, and clear intellect

ูขูฆ. ุญูˆูŠุช ุชูƒุฑู…ุงู‹ ูˆุญูˆูŠุชูŽ ุนู„ู…ุงู‹
ูˆุทู„ุชูŽ ุงู„ุนุงู„ู…ูŠู† ุจุญุณู†ู ุฒููŠู‘

27. You taught all tongues the sacred law
And saved people from all wrongdoing

ูˆุนู‚ู„ู ุฑุงุฌุญู ุตุงูู ุฌู„ู‰ู‘

28. So which people, near and far
Are not mournful and anguished by your death?

29. And who has not been touched with worry and sorrow
By your death, lost and confused?

ุจู…ูˆุชูƒ ุบูŠุฑ ู…ุญุฒูˆู†ู ุดูŽุฌูู‰ู’

30. So may your grave be well-watered, O Nuzwรก
By the morning and evening rains

31. O how you were afflicted with a wound that no one
Could have dressed, had it not been for Ibn Sayf Al-Yaโ€˜rubi

32. He is Sultan, son of Sayf
The progeny of the wise and prudent king

ู„ู‡ุง ู„ูˆู„ุง ุงุจู† ุณูŠู ุงู„ูŠูŽุนู’ุฑูุจููŠู‘

33. A just, righteous, and vigilant Imam
Who acted with loyalty, righteousness and vigilance

ูฃูฃ. ู‡ููˆ ุงู„ุณู„ุทุงู†ู ุณู„ุทุงู†ู ุจู† ุณูŠูู
ุณู„ุงู„ุฉู ู…ุงู„ูƒู ุงู„ูุทู† ุงู„ูƒูŽูŠู‘

34. God has indeed blessed us through him
And chosen him, my honorable father

ูฃูค. ุฅู…ุงู…ูŒ ุนุงุฏู„ูŒ ุจูŽุฑู‘ูŒ ุญูŽูู‰ู‘

35. He has spread goodness and generosity among the people
And given them life after death

ูˆุตููˆุชู‡ ุฃุจูŠ ุงู„ุนุฑุจู ุงู„ุฃุจู‰ู‘

36. And saved them all from tribulation
And cleansed their honor from all disgrace

ูฃูฆ. ู„ู‚ุฏู’ ุนู…ู‘ูŽ ุงู„ุฃู†ุงู…ูŽ ุฌุฏู‰ู‹ ูˆุฌูˆุฏุงู‹
ูˆุฃุณู‚ุงู‡ูู… ุญูŠุงู‹ ู…ูู†ู’ ุจุนุฏ ุฑูู‰ู‹

37. And may God, my Lord, at all times
Bless the best of creation, the choicest
