2. O son of Al-Jahhajah the eminent
Their lineage is the purest lineage

3. The articulate speaker in
The language of the non-Arabs and the Arabs

4. The valiant master, the young man
And the one rising to the highest ranks

5. The fulfiller of the true promise
And brother of kingdoms and merits

6. The time has come that I wished from you
And I am the obedient lover

7. I hoped in my good thoughts
That you would give generously what I love

8. My master, O master of all people
You are the hope of the most distinguished

9. Be generous to me, for I
Hope for wealth in what I earn

10. And I am hopeful, for whoever
Hopes for your grace will not despair
