1. O Darwish, one with a repugnant mandate,
May ill favor your father, O instigator of turmoil!

2. O sanctuary of the vile, rather, O vilest of the vile,
Rather, O most foolish of fools!

3. O wretched in morals, rather, O most corrupt of the corrupt,
Rather, O most cowardly of cowards!

4. O source of corruption, rather, O refuge of the wicked,
Rather, O fool of the desert!

5. O ladder of the ignorant, rather, O oppression of the oppressors,
Rather, O heaviest of burdens!

6. O most filthy in morals among people,
O sore in the heart and intestines!

7. O greatest of the misguided in their tales,
O lowest of those who walk on dust!

8. And you cast Abdallah, the lineage of Muhammad,
The judge of mankind, with a vile slander!

9. Far it is for the son of Mahmud the Guardian, the Satisfied,
The people of loyalty and spring of favors!

10. Wretched and ugly are you, O descendants of Mushamil,
You have been ennobled when I exerted my voice against you,

11. Your due was not deserving of my satire,
And it pained me that I wasted my satire on you,

12. And of the wonders is that your person is dead,
Yet you are counted among the living in the world!

13. The description of blame in you has narrowed, because I see
Nothing in you among things.

14. You have been torn apart beyond all torn ones in the world,
O guest of the abode in days of high prices!

15. Do you fault one whose shoe-strap you cannot equal,
And you insult him, O most wicked of fools!

16. Your hands are paralyzed and your mouth gaped,
And your hands separated, O brother of ordeal and misery!

17. And I see you, O blind to guidance,
Deviating in a dark mud!

18. And I see you have obscured the light in our horizons,
And the horses of ignorance raced in the darkness!

19. If Adam had known that from his loins would come
One who rebels and deviates from Eve,

20. If the dust were to be fair to you, you would have dissolved
At the bottom of the abyss in an ugly form!

21. Take it bound, its waves clashing against you
With blame, like the clashing of insects!

22. It comes to you rushing with poisons, swift
In its rushing like the dappled viper!

23. It will clothe you on the Day of Resurrection in a robe of disgrace
Until you come stumbling in a black stigma!

24. Unless you repent, upon you is the lasting curse of our God,
O everlasting shameful one!
