1. Patience, O noble sons of al-Bunduqiyyah,
For parting with one whose eyes and deeds were virtuous.

2. Victory of God went to God victoriously;
He left no weeping heart but it was broken.

3. The full moon was eclipsed underneath the soil
By God's decree and predestination.

4. So I listened to the grave and inscribed on it
May the drops of dew water you, O dwelling place of the moon.
