1. Hussain has shown us the full moon, so tell him:
The nights are where the full moons rise,
١. أبدَى الحُسيَنُ لنا العِذارَ فقُلْ لهُ
إنَّ الليالي مَطلِعُ الأقمارِ
2. And in your eloquence we clearly see
The date-palm ants march on the full moon's face.
٢. ولَقد نَرى في فِيكَ شَهْدَ فَصاحَةٍ
أرِّخ يحومُ عليهِ نملُ عِذارِ
