1. For Yusuf ibn al-Judaayi, today a blessed house has been built
A house of happiness in which nightingales of companionship sing

2. And stars of good fortune shine in its heights
Unique in the lands of the East, he erected it

3. A unique being with whom its nights became pleasant
So my prayer for him became its date

4. May it endure, and may its builder endure, under God's protection
