1. Leave love poems and tender words aside,
For today we rejoice at glorious tidings.

2. Good news has flooded from the land of Egypt
To Syria's plains, hills, and mountains alike.

3. Al-Muzaffar Ismail stands tall
On its throne, like the sun in Aries.

4. His fortunes shine on it, and I said to it:
O most blessed land, this is the happiest state!

5. This dear one, son of Ibrahim, his lineage
Is derived from Allah's allies and messengers.

6. Among them is the Friend, and Ismail before them,
And Muhammad, gathered to him is Ali.

7. This son of one whose fame has spread
East and west, like the seven long ones.

8. If there were paths on our land to Saturn,
His fame would have reached from there to Saturn.

9. And today Ismail rises to succeed him
In wisdom and resolve, between words and deeds.

10. His features were like blossoming flowers,
And the choicest honey was produced from their gardens.

11. God's Caliph is the head, and the Dear One is his hand,
Assisting him with wealth and soldiers.

12. Whenever the fortunes of time gather against him,
He confronts them like fire when the winds blow in the hills.

13. Once there was one ancient Nile in Egypt,
But God added to it a Nile extinguishing sorrows.

14. Every year we have a feast to delight in,
And its feast is everyday, never ceasing.

15. O Cairo, vanquisher of the world by its power,
God has renewed your early days.

16. The seat of the Caliphate has returned established in you,
As the All-Merciful decreed in eternity.

17. Congratulations to you for having a Dear One whose side
Is invincible, as if he were an angel in the form of a man.

18. May your blessed quarter take advantage, when he walked upon it,
Of the opportunity to kiss his feet.

19. If the beneficial rain missed you because of his mercy,
His tranquility will suffice instead of rain.

20. And if the Nile flood is late for you, then do not
Succumb to feelings of anxiety and anguish.

21. Let whoever fasts and prays there rise at dawn
Invoking blessings on him for extended power and life.

22. May he remain, clinging to God, elated in the annals
Of his historians, fulfilled in hopes.
