1. O people, this is the moon's birthday
In the middle of Sha'ban, it brings good news to people

2. God has born Saad on the day of his birth
For us as destiny's wisdom requires

3. A day in which its owner flowed towards kingship
Flowing like the full moons to a precious light

4. God has created in it a mercy that has appeared
In every land, exceeding the mercy of rain

5. A feast for Abdulaziz today, good tidings were struck
Between hearing and sight

6. It covered the mountains in white clothes as
It covered the plains in fresh green attire

7. A feast in which lights stood radiant
In the night of the full moon until dawn breaks

8. It outshone the sun, so its splendor looked down
Upon what little light the moon had in comparison

9. The land in it became like the sky in it
With lightning, thunder, and giant shooting stars

10. And the people's orators glorified it
Like the angels of the Divine Throne at dawn and dusk

11. Praise belongs to the clan of Othman
Whose nobility left no room for the arrogant

12. Whenever a star passes, a moon comes
And if a moon passes, the sun follows

13. Abdulaziz has stood for us from his origin
A generous, great, experienced, and skilled scion

14. When we mention the kings of the time, he is for them
A heart like the Fatiha at the start of the Quran

15. Everyone who prays to his Creator invokes
Blessings, glory, ascent, and triumph upon him

16. By God's might, he remains empowered
For as long as we date his reign by the passing years
