1. What are the peoples of Ottoman waiting for?
Umar has returned erect in his kingdom,

2. And God has renewed in the days of his state
The era of the Companions, where justice spreads.

3. This is the king who revives the servants as
He revives the countries and sends them rain.

4. Before him no king stood in our land
With whom God, angels and humans were pleased.

5. Today the adornment of the earth is Abd al-Aziz,
And his likeness in heaven is the sun and moon.

6. If our days have darkened formerly,
Say to them: rejoice, dawn has shone.

7. God's caliph, a shade for creation,
The world takes shelter and cover in it.

8. The world would not accept other than him as king,
Not even if Gabriel or al-Khidr came to it.

9. Refined of spirit, pure of heart, immaculate,
With resolute purpose, commanding, empowered.

10. With parchment and reed pens he attains his needs
From armies - so these are the white and the brown.

11. No regret follows any deed of his,
Nor is he blamed for any act requiring excuse.

12. No private or public affair of his is faulted,
Nor hearing or sight lead him astray.

13. Girded over redoubled robes -
A sword forged by destiny in awe of God.

14. Polished of blade, inscribed on its surface:
"When appointed time comes, caution is no use."

15. All sovereigns in their generations are trees,
While Abd al-Aziz on their branches is fruit.

16. Angels of the Throne tend him and serve him,
Good fortune morning and night frequents his door.

17. They praise him with pens and tongues,
Yet briefest in truth of his merits.

18. If we seek bounty from the Maker for us,
It is naught but his remaining among us as bounty.
