1. If much of the plentiful goes away
The little is determined to journey on

We need not fear the footprint of the small

3. If a soul is safe from fires
Then do not dread the heat of hot winds

4. One not seized by the claws of a lion
Will not be trampled by a camel's slipper

5. A little patience from you is easy
For you have endured the most difficult

6. And why would one plunging into rapids
Dread it, having crossed the vast ocean?

7. Be content and submit
To the Almighty Sovereign

8. For fear is an illness, atop all illness
Melting the heart if it grips the conscience

9. God's action voids all other action
And defeats David the Wise's potion

10. The life of people in this world is a dream
And their awakening is at the final rest

11. And all of life is but a day you are in
So what's the difference between long and short?

12. Some of the living surpass others until
Death comes and every slave is like an emir

13. When we depart, a spider's web
Equals a palace and mansion

14. And the soul of a person in this world is captive
While the body's death releases the captive

15. So no regrets over the world, but
Over what comes after that fate

16. The wicked sleep on their sides
While the good sleep on silk

17. And the heedless will regret blocking their ears
Before the separation, from the voice of the warner

18. Advice flows through the wise
Like water flows through fresh meadows

19. And is lost fruitlessly in the ears of fools
Like the dawn gleam in a blind man's eyes
