11. He who gave out nature gave provision
That flows till the time allotted is gone

12. O Lord of a people who in ignorance prevailed
And a people in knowledge who failed

13. Few match wisdom and worldly success
Like the trusted leader whose state prospers

14. That one of both swords - of hand and thought
Each ever sharp and ready to assault

15. Some strive in deed, some in lineage take pride
Yet both meet in one tribe

16. Of the house of Raslan, whose line extends
Back to Tanukh and Qahtan without end

17. The rainclouds watered the highland of Nu'man
As the legend tells, forming its proverbial fount

18. Tell Khawarnaq - times have allowed us one
Whose Lord is God, not the idols of old

19. He whose ears catch the call to prayer and litany
No she-camel's bray can equal that melody

20. Those kings - a firm base on which was built
A palace raised by the Everlasting Guilt

21. A pure extract of the finest stock
As honey strained clean of the comb

Who grew complete like the crescent moon

23. Reaching at last the full moon's perfection
For nothing exceeds what lies beyond its reflection

24. We thought highly of Ismael in days of old
Though time makes small what beginnings extol

25. Once leagues beyond the West a mere dot

26. The noble one whose face lights up hearts
And brings joy to eyes that behold

27. No band anticipates victory before the fight

28. Broad of chest - calamities shrink in its span

29. Wisdom's secrets are obscured from the likes of us
As Saturn is veiled from our eyes' reach

30. My praise crowns him like a ring's engraved gem
Marked by angels and prophets in concord

31. A mark till the end of time indelible
Long as the seven planets endure

32. Say to the Prince whose gifts I implore
That my verses overflow and my rhymes run poor

33. Shame on me for praise not my invention
While for you praise itself is not your intention

34. O sword of Qais' fortune - you need a man Like
al-Husayn's own son, and I'm that man

35. You've allowed me verse with such ease
Asleep I'd speak poetry no flaw to displease

36. A meadow your virtues have led me to turn in
However I lean comfort fills me within
