1. I called upon the wings of nightfall, my Master, beseeching,
And He is the Responder to whoever calls and asks.

2. O Most Merciful of the merciful, the One cried out to
In times of tribulation when paths are straitened.

3. I have relied upon Your boundless generosity, for who
Has ever been disappointed, relying on Your kindness?

4. You are the Omnipotent, whose awesomeness is feared,
The earth and heavens tremble in dread of Him.

5. Who is there that does not fear You, quaking,
Even if their heart were to tell the mountains?

6. Who can execute affairs that You have decreed?
Who can revoke a judgement You have rendered?

7. You are the Bountiful, from whose grace is hoped
Bounty, while from other than You, none is hoped for.

8. You are the Forbearing, from whom it is hoped
To overlook the ignorance of a servant who erred in word and deed.

9. Whoever desires to build an everlasting palace,
Let him build in Your presence a palace in the heavens, lofty.

10. Whoever seeks lasting wealth,
Let him seek Your wealth, desiring no substitute.
