لِلخَطبِ إِن ضاقَت الأَخلاقُ وَالحيلُ
2. The lightning pursues him, though he is but a horse
In the guise of death, though he is but a man
٢. يَسعى بِهِ البَرقُ إِلا أَنَّهُ فَرَسٌ
في صورَةِ المَوتِ إِلا أَنَّهُ رَجُلُ
3. He encounters spears with a chest that has no
Backing, and leads a steed though it has no shoulders
٣. يَلقى الرِماحَ بِصَدرٍ مِنهُ لَيسَ لَهُ
ظَهرٌ وَهادي جَوادٍ مالَهُ كَفَلُ
