1. Behold, O bee who ventured forth and gained
A legacy of all the ages have bequeathed

2. The groves received it for what her bosom concealed
And the valleys whispered to her their secrets

3. She labored hard and obtained what she wished
Such is fate, endeavor and perseverance

4. No wonder she returns with goodness
For without bees there would be no honey

5. And how could it be otherwise when her Lord is wise and prudent
To every perplexity He brings elucidation

6. He forsook sleep in the quest for sublime things
And the eyes found relief in wakefulness

7. Thus His love resides in every heart
As a guest, and hearts are His receptacle
