١. لا تَعْكُفَنَّ عَلَى الْمُدَامِ بِغَيْرِ مَا
صَوْتٍ يَهِيجُ بِلَحْنِهِ النَّدْمَانَا
2. For song awakens feelings in the soul
That surge up through our being and find voice.
٢. إِنَّ الْغِنَاءَ سَرِيرَةٌ فِي النَّفْسِ قَدْ
ضَاقَتْ بِهَا فَتَفَجَّرَتْ أَلْحَانَا
