١. إِذَا أَتَاكَ خَلِيلٌ بَعْدَ مَنْدَمَةٍ
مِنْهُ عَلَى مَا مَضَى مِنْ زَلَّةٍ فَهُنِ
2. Show grace and magnanimity, do not pique
Reproach destroys the good that you did seek
٢. وَإِنْ صَفَحْتَ فَلا تَعْرِضْ بِمَعْتَبَةٍ
فَالْعَتْبُ يُفْسِدُ مَا قَدَّمْتَ مِنْ حَسَنِ
