1. If only the youth knew what fate has hidden for him
He would not have leaned towards caution
١. لَوْ كَانَ يَدْرِي الْفَتَى مَكْنُونَ مَا خَبَّأَتْ
لَهُ الْمَقَادِيرُ لَمْ يَرْكَنْ إِلَى الْحَذَرِ
2. And if he knew that the distress he faces
Is from the failure of his own judgement, he would not blame fate
٢. وَلَوْ دَرَى أَنَّ مَا يَلْقَاهُ مِنْ عَنَتٍ
مِنْ خَيْبَةِ الرَّأْيِ لَمْ يَعْتُبْ عَلَى الْقَدَرِ
