1. My satire of you is not inventing discourse
Other than what in you is of vileness and ill omen
١. هَجَوتُكَ غَيْرَ مُبْتَدِعٍ مَقَالاً
سِوَى مَا فِيكَ مِنْ دَنَسٍ وَشُؤْمِ
2. So if you show cowardice, it is from abasement and cowardice
And if you show patience, it is from weakness and blame
٢. فَإِنْ تَجْزَعْ فَمِنْ خَوَرٍ وَجُبْنٍ
وَإِنْ تَصْبِرْ فَمِنْ ضَعَةٍ وَلُؤْمِ
