1. He refused the bitterness of life and died free,
And exonerated himself in doing so.

2. A man who drank the cup of death in one gulp,
When the taste of life was bitter.

3. His heart was adorned with the prime of virtues,
So he offered himself in love as a dowry.

4. And he swore to never let his protection become prey,
Or accessible, else he would die folding over in honor.

5. He suffered hunger, and how much hunger kills the hungry,
Becoming an issue for people’s lives.

6. And how would you know that his folding one day,
Would bring his people life and prosperity.

7. With his death he saw the revival of a nation,
So he believed that after hardship there is ease.
