1. Some words have no use or meaning
Like a cloud that brings no rain

2. The tongue may weave as it pleases
yet most speech brings only pain

3. A sojourn in some lands
brings a man only sorrow and bane

4. No sane man approaches destruction
though the earth is his to gain

5. Some people's nature is but an illness
with no cure or antidote

6. Let poets carry my words:
I treat people with justice, not violence or hate

7. I do not wrong the worthy out of envy
To the flawed I show compassion, not wrath

8. One may wish to meet their end
Yet Allah decides the destined path
