4. His longing for the full moon's nobility dissuaded him
From wearing the garb of bereavement

5. It's no wonder that we both melted away
When a dear one settled in the belly of the tomb

6. The harbinger brought me the news, so I magnified his tidings

7. For my chest is a groan after a groan
So the lamentations of the two sufferers prolong

8. It was as if my soul, drowned in sorrow
Found solace in departing after the departed

9. So I said, โOh soul, have patience, for if
My affliction is grave, then comfort is beautifulโ

11. The one with the great soul has found rest in the soil
Yet he forever dwells in our hearts

12. He left with remorse in every heart

13. We knew him to have an unfettered mind in every stance
Never swerving from the path of righteousness

14. His manners were gentler than the morning breeze
As if he were adescendant of the generous

15. If a manโs moral character indicates his merit
Then his virtuous traces are proof of him

16. He was always obedient to the voice of his conscience
While how many an imam inclines toward his desire

17. Oh you who left a homeland you protected

18. You traversed the arena of strife as a mujahid
Your perspective in every crisis is sound

ูุฑุฃูู ูู ูู ุงูุฎุทูุจ ุฃูุตูู
19. How could you leave today, oh loyal friend
When you were miserly in bidding us farewell?

ูุฃูุช ุนูููุง ุจุงููุฏุงุน ุจุฎูู
20. You left behind in our hearts a searing agony
And in every breast resentment from your groaning

21. You fell in the field of battle struck by spears
As the deluded fall when they roam

22. You parted from brothers who yearned for you
While their hearts from your loss are infirm

23. They all walked around your bier in humility

24. If the assailants inherit you in bits

25. On the day you departed, a chaste woman wept
A painful, ceaseless weeping not done by the stoic

26. You left behind orphans who lamented over you
And spent the night, each asking about his father

27. That calamity startled them, so they woke up
With anguish and weeping in every heart

28. It pains us that soil should cover you
When for us there is no substitute for you

29. It pains us to see the garden where
You stood your long life

30. The birds in its branches lament his song

31. When the earth covers you, the one

32. And your virtues will remain immortalized in hearts
While your memory lives and time is faithful
