1. The blackness of my eyes, O my homeland, I sacrifice for you,

And who would protect your sons other than your shield

10. You have surely kept my honor intact
And nothing protects my honor other than you

11. When severe illness besets me
I am healed by the fragrant breezes blowing through your land

12. And how can any disease or afflictions touch me
When my heart is split wide open by the aroma of your soil

13. For you are my garden and the bliss of my soul
It is a blessing enough for me that I see you

14. I will spread your glory throughout creation until
Your fragrance permeates every region

15. And I will make loving you in my heart a religion
And I will conduct myself according to what your heights desire

16. For you quenched my thirst with pure knowledge
And you enlightened me with the splendor of your guidance

17. And you made me on all battlefields,
A sharp sword in your hands against your enemies

18. So I became your young warrior against all adversities
And it is pride enough for me that I am your warrior

19. I attack the enemy like a fierce lion
If they ever dare make you their prey

20. And I have a bold heart that does not care
To sacrifice my soul should you face peril

21. And how can I fear the raids of enemies
While your banner flutters over me protecting me

22. I have made you after my Lord the best Lord
And those intoxicated with loving you never stray

23. Nor did your sons go wrong even when drunk
From passion for you after parting your love

24. My life's wishes will attain my soul's treasures
When you reach the highest of your positions

25. And I will relish life’s sweetest cup
When you have fulfilled your share from there

26. How many great leaders you have raised
Who built empires in your territory

27. And how many powerful heroes you have grown
Who won you accomplishments beyond your reach

28. And how many noble freemen did you nurture
Who draped you with glories that adorned you

29. For you, my homeland, I have devoted my life
And how I crave to die seeking your pleasure

30. When I die, dig me a grave
Facing the cedar trees so your breeze befriends me

31. And give my body on the day I am buried
Nothing but a shroud embroidered by your hands
