Your charm captivated me, or a mouth that entices

2. Is it when her bright complexion paled
Did her paleness make you languish, or rejoice?

3. Or her tall, elegant neck? Or her curly hair
Adorning her cheek? Or from her cheek like fresh snow?

4. Or her ankles, when she walked proudly like the heavens?
And wandered into a bosom like a smooth rock

5. Nay, her plump shins, or the knobs of her waist
Or her ample thighs and legs like marble columns

6. She is plunder if silent
She is magic if she spoke

7. She is a battalion if she walked away
She is a branch if she came

8. She is the sun, but the sun has no veils
She is the moon, but never one to coquet

9. A maiden of eighteen springs
Who has settled, and neither borne children nor produced

10. The color of her is like the peak of a cotton flower
And in her softness, she is healing and delightful

11. Your charm, looking only at the inviolability of her leg
Without depending on the gaze of the embarrassed

12. So how if her coat slipped from her shoulders
And her apron from her swaying hips

13. Then you would lower your eyes from her in piety
And respect, out of chastity and embarrassment

14. Yesterday, O Salma, I forbade you from passion
And said, withdraw into privacy and curl up

15. For if the palace of your steps drew near, a temptress
And your glance a seducer, even if you didn't adorn yourself

16. So what is it, O Salma, that cheapens you among us
And reveals your anklet of gold and gems?

23. He is the King, the Sultan of glory, and his name
Is for you to acknowledge, O daughter of Khazraj

24. Abu Al-Fadl, after God you are my hope
And Salma did not rave, but provoke

25. To horses unto the horses of Tayy and Hajafah
To Hajafah in the battle with many outlets

26. And I see them above them and their brave steeds
Circling, and the banners waving like bridges

27. On a day when the knot of evil is untied
With it, another is tied with a relieving fist

28. Like you, troublemaker make trouble for the fury of war
Abu Al-Fadl make trouble, Abu Al-Fadl provoke

29. Ignite the most flaming flames and be fiery
Trouble the troubled and ignite

30. Take a stand, an era to erase
Erase the pessimists, the doubters and the hesitants

31. I urge the loyal to prepare the loyal
To get what is deserved by the enemy dressed for war

32. Remove all doubts, destroy suspicion, extinguish
The enemies' doubts, fulfill the promise, disturb

33. Take a stand for the minaret of truth without
Wavering or hesitation or reluctance

34. By the honor of the Lord of the Throne, may His glory be glorified
Grant us our request, release the tied camel

35. We were bored by the shadows of houses, we shadowed
The shadows of spears, the banners and wide plains

36. We turned away from water saying saddle up
So say it, may God reward you with good and ice

37. With grace not dreams, nay but water them
With highborn steeds, beauty, the horses saddled

38. Your steeds are mature and around them donkeys
The progeny of Qahtan from every path

39. With every piled up color of blood and more red
Redder in color than the color of sulfur

40. Flexible strong necks, smooth foreheads
Prominent noses, charming gap-toothed

41. So that when their horses come to you disheveled
And their feet tired from war and battle

42. Then strike them east for in the east are supplies
With which you straighten in the west all that is bent

43. Oblige the east and west to improve conditions
Of the people with justice, discipline and care

44. Instill justice, obliterate misguidance with guidance
Leave vain desires for reason, pure truth for the loyal

45. For the bride of truth has become a stranger
Expelled, wandering with a torn cloak

46. As if she never was, she used to wander with her jewelry
In the days of Abdullah before being adorned

47. So disturb her with command and motivate her with prohibition
And crown her with justice and honor her with virtue

48. For if you saw her wearing her gown
You would hastily court her for marriage

49. Islam today seems strange as it did before
Except today it is agitated

50. Take amnesty and enjoin what is proper, you will break
With that the wings of every stubborn monster

51. And do not follow the passions of people who call
To loss, so you lose, and the truth becomes twisted

52. To the degrees of Paradise in the chambers of the Highest
With the Chosen One, may God’s blessings be upon the Prophet
