1. Be certain even if unclear, be certain still
The people of this world have little faith

2. Their hypocrisy in every false promise
Their weakness when not steadfast

3. Have you not seen I stood up to them night after night
By God I saw they were not convicted

4. So roll up your sleeves, guided by God, seeking
Honor or else lay down and resign

5. For people are but gentle beasts
Wading in the swamps of death or fallen base

6. So leave lands where you gained no comfort
Among its people, leave it, leave it, decide

7. Whether you meet victory without weakness
Or you meet death, not humiliated

8. Oh clan of Sahl, you sheltered my people
And gave me refuge when my home was ravaged

9. You fought my enemies, zealously guarding me
You consoled me and conspired to support me

10. I became a capable king among you
Steadfast, fortified, honored, not disgraced

11. Except, my people, I could not fulfill a need
Or see a matter that delighted me

12. I hoped you would champion the truth after
My covenants with you, my time of conviction

13. You failed my cause and perhaps
Will regret neglecting me in my strength

14. But my needs, difficult to accomplish
And victory for the religion of the guardian

15. If you support me, hope lies in you
If you fail, I will seek a land that empowers me

16. The world is not narrow, nor my path
Nor my affairs, my resolve is not weak

17. Reply urgently, do not lack protectors
For honor drives me

18. Bless the one who laid the foundations of faith and guidance
And spread them with the sword after discord
