١. إذا ما النّفسُ مالَتْ نحْوَ حُسْنٍ
فقَدْ خطَرْتَ علَى خطَرِ الوَلوعِ
2. If you sense this inclination, rein it in
For after inclination comes only falling
٢. فإنْ أحْسَسْتَ بالمَيْلِ ادَّرِكْها
فَما بعْدَ الميْلِ سِوى الوُقوعِ
